5th Annual Hot & Spicy Brings Hot Foods and Spicy Blues
to the Florida Ag Museum in February

The Sauce Boss will perform live at the Florida Agricultural Museum Hot & Spicy Festival
Palm Coast, Florida - January 14, 2015

The Florida Agricultural Museum announces the 5th Annual Hot Foods N' Spicy Blues Festival, Saturday, February 7th, at the museum facility, located at 7900 Old Kings Road North in Palm Coast. The one-day event features hot foods from area restaurants and retailers and live Blues performances, including the world famous Bill "Sauce Boss" Wharton, who returns with his Cajun gumbo and Florida Slide Guitar Blues. Admission is $5 per person, with proceeds helping to support museum programs and Feed Flagler. The event is being sponsored by Bright House Networks and Beach 92.7 fm.

Hot & Spicy will also feature, pig racing, a children's Fun Zone, and trolley tours of the museum's farm and historic structures.  The gates will open at 11 am, with live music, trolley rides, farm tours, food and Fun Zone opening at noon.

"It's a great way t  o spend a day in the country," said Andrew Morrow, executive director of the Florida Agricultural Museum.

Bill Wharton entertains with his homegrown storytelling and natural-born guitar talent while making a show out of cooking up a giant pot of gumbo and sharing it with the crowd at the end of the performance.  Jimmy Buffet sings about the Sauce Boss in his "I Will Play for Gumbo" song. Wharton has played at festivals and performing arts centers throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. His songs "Let the Big Dog Eat" and "Great Big Fanny" appeared on the Jimmy Buffett compilation album "Margaritaville CafĂ© Late Night Menu".

NPR's "All Things Considered" and "Morning Edition" have both covered the Sauce Boss. CNN and EXTRA sent film crews to New York City Sauce Boss extravaganzas in 2000, The Food Network's series "Extreme Cuisine" visited the Sauce Boss on location in New York, and another Food Network series "Keith Famie's Adventures" filmed a Sauce Boss show in Miami. The Sauce Boss is the only personality that's been featured in "Living Blues," "GQ," and  "Gourmet Magazine".

Closed toed walking shoes are recommended for visitors to the event. The Florida Agricultural Museum regular tour of the park will not be available during the event. For more information, please visit floridaagmuseum.org or contact (386) 446-7630 or info@myagmuseum.com.
