Giddy and Grateful!

From a dream, springs reality.

It's been an extraordinary month in our lives as we have watched the funding for The Oklawaha County Jamboree Gamble Rogers Tribute recording go above and beyond our goals. We are truly humbled and honored by you all and your faith in this project and can't wait to keep you posted as it unfolds.

Right now scheduling is underway for the artists and that is shaping up nicely. Words can't express how much Lon and I are looking forward to working with all of these talented musicians and how much we're looking forward to handing you your copy of the recording!

A thousand thanks to Mike Lagasse for dreaming this whole thing up and being instrumental in getting us this far. Also huge thanks to Jamie DeFrates for his lovely Kickstarter video, Bob Patterson, our ever-fearless leader, Jim Carrick and Sam Pacetti for their contributions and Charles Steadham for the use of Gamble's recordings in our fundraising drive.

This portion of the funding drive ends on this coming Saturday night just as we come together to celebrate one of Gamble's best friends... Bob Patterson. Please join us for that and see those details below. The following Sunday, June 30th, another wing-dinger concert and Gamble Tribute will be held at The Tradewinds Tropical Lounge on Charlotte Street. Hope you can be there for that special concert as well.

Hello dear folks... Lon and I sure do appreciate your support of our project. A huge THANK YOU to those of you who have already generously contributed to get us to the 68% funded mark!!! Wow!!! 

If you haven't had a chance yet, please take a moment to visit the link above and make a pledge of ANY amount to help us reach our goal to complete this tribute project to our friend, mentor and folk hero, Gamble Rogers. 

We are well beyond the halfway mark already but need to average $50.00 per day in donations for the 30 days remaining  to reach our goal.

THE WILD SHINERS CD RELEASE PARTY!!!

Guys. You don't want to miss this CD release party. Here's a note from the Shiners with the details...

CD is Complete! We are throwing a Huuuuge cd release party in White Springs this weekend. We are calling it the Florida Folk Festival. There will be music all night long from Friday until Monday. Vendors, crafts, storytellers. World music, folk music, bluegrass, and, of course songs about manatees and Birds. We will be on the Azalea Stage at 5:30 on Saturday. 

Seminole camp stage on Sunday at 6:30.
